In October 2024 Carlota Ucín presented her work at the conference Law as a social practice,held at the University degli Studi die Napoli Federico II in Napels. She presented her paper In the name of human rights: sketching a definition of public interest litigation, in which she discuss the relevant elements that serve as the building blocks for a definition of public interest litigation. As this type of litigation is also growing in Europe, voicing the claims of underrepresented groups and calling for the enforcement of human rights, it has become fundamental to clarify the uses of the term, as this will serve both, academic and pragmatic purposes related to policymaking.
